New Comp Training

The training is going well. Lots easier than I thought. My comps name is Elder Schoepfle (Chef Lee. ) He is from Virginia right outside of DC, Maclan (I think is how you spell it.) He is a good hard worker and wants to be out here. He has a cool story. He is the only member in his family. He joined after he got out of high school and was dating a girl and she got him interested. But then she went off to school and he got really close to her family. His mom and dad don’t really like it but they support him somewhat. He was baptized three days before Elder McGhin and he is 21 almost 22.

I got a letter from ‘Bobcat’ hahaha. It was kinda short, all she did was say that she was proud of me that I was on a mission and to never give up. I was like, I know! Haha And then she gave me a picture of when we were at prom. It was really sad. I look like a total retard. I told her that I’m going to have to make it up to her, I was pretty embarrassed when I saw that picture. It was really bad.

Other than that it was a pretty uneventful week. President Maynes went with us to the Garbos again this week and he talked to her and answered a lot of her questions. He told her to look at the fruits of the church and he also told her that there always has to be some one to break the ice for everybody else. It was really good. We were there for and hour and half, that’s 45 min more then we should have been but it was ok-- we were with president.

President Maynes is so cool, he can explain everything very well and he uses the scriptures to back every thing that he says. It’s amazing! I hope that I can be like that when I grow up! He is really bold and will tell you how it is. As we were driving over there he called CJ out and said that he was a wimp. It was pretty funny.
