Hello,
We didn't do much this week. We did lots of sitting around because Elder Palmer had an in-grown toenail that we had taken care of last week so we didn't really do much because he couldn't walk on it.
I did, however, go to 16th Street Mall with one of the ZL Elder Warren and Elder Kulitapa, he is from Fiji, but he is not a ZL. 16th Street Mall is crazy. There are tons of people to talk to. I got 20 QGC (Quality Gospel Conversation) in four hours.
We were supposed to meet Leon on Saturday the 3rd of July but he got sick so we couldn't meet with him. We are also talking with Frank, an alcoholic and smoker. We are working with him to try and get him to stop and to come to church. He is a crazy guy, he lives in this apartment but there is only one chair so we have to sit on the ground. He has a dog named Tip and he is wondering if he can bring him to church because he has no place to put him and I guess it will go crazy if he leaves it at home ha-ha, We told him to bring his dog and maybe he will come to church.
Well that has been the highlight of my week hopefully we will get more action next week.
Love,
Elder Thompson
The 16th Street Mall is where people go Downtown to eat, shop, work, have fun, or just hang out. With Downtown Denver being rather linear in shape--some 20 blocks long but only 5 or 6 blocks wide--the Mall serves as the critical spine that makes Downtown a success. Being both a transit and pedestrian mall is also key to the Mall's appeal. If you don't feel like walking those 3 or 13 blocks to your destination, just hop on the free mall shuttle. But if you want to enjoy the city on foot, like many did on this sunny Saturday in October, then the 16th Street Mall is the place to be.
