Meeker, CO

Why do you say Meeker is outer darkness? It’s way cool here ha-ha. It is just a little town and I love it and it would be the perfect place to end it all ha-ha! Meeker is a town about the size of St. Anthony but in the mountains.  There are a lot of ranchers and hunters.  It is slow here because of hunting right now.  I think I will like this place.  Everything is slower and little bit more laid back.  I will be coming home around the 16th of May.  But I still have 6 months until we worry about that.

My new comp is Elder Depew.  He is really cool.  I like him a lot. We are going to try and get President to keep us together for the rest of my time ha-ha.  We have district meeting on Mondays so we drive up to Craig and then email from there. It’s about an hour drive north.   The areas that we cover are so much bigger than back in Denver. I’m super close to home. It’s kind of funny because we were at church and we were looking at a map on a RC’s (recent convert) phone, Christy, she is really cool she just turned 17 (but more on her later) and I could see where I lived and still see Meeker and the map was  pretty zoomed in  ha-ha!  But Christy is really cool.  She was baptized about a month ago and her mom was baptized 2 weeks ago and was confirmed on Sunday.  They are really awesome and make Meeker even better.  

There are a lot of PM (part member families) and less actives,  about 80% is LA. Right now it’s about 95% LA because of hunting season ha-ha.  Our PO Box 2304.   The block down from Pizza Hut there is like a big red house building and that is our house.  

 Elder Depew has only been in the area for one transfer and he came out to the mission one transfer after me so we are only one transfer apart.  He is from Georgia.  He doesn’t have a southern accent.  I took Elder Croft’s spot he was here for 7 1/2 months.
